Evan Chriss Obituary
On April 27, 2015 Evan Alevizatos Chriss beloved husband of Ceres Rogokos Chriss devoted father of Timothy D.A. Chriss and his wife Karin J. Chriss and Andrew J.A. Chriss and his wife Constance C. Chriss; loving grandfather of Evan A.A. Chriss, Matthew P.A. Chriss, Alexander W.A. Chriss and Caroline E. Chriss; dear brother of Chrysanthe A. Pappas and her late husband Alexander Pappas, Dr. Aristides C. Alevizatos and his wife Dorothy and the late Betty Jean Alevizatos. Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26) on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM where a Trisaghion Service will be held at 7:30 PM. Mr. Chriss will lie-in-repose at the Chapel of the Holy Resurrection at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery, 5917 Windsor Mill Rd, on Friday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at which time a Funeral Service will be held. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Chriss' name may be made to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation; 24 W. Preston Street; Baltimore, MD 21201 or the Holy Cross Orthodox Church; 105 North Camp Meade Road; Linthicum, MD 21090.

Evan was an outstanding and exemplary Orthodox Christian. His experience, knowledge and wisdom were extremely valued not just at the Cathedral of the Annunciation but to Orthodoxy in America.
He was a great help to me, as President of the Parish Council, through his encouragement, insight and practical advice. Evan was never too busy to provide meaningful professional and spiritual counsel.
His friendship and example are lasting treasures to me.
May his memory be eternal.
