Bette M. GOLAS

GOLAS , Bette M. Bette M. Golas, 87, formerly of Hanover, MD passed away on February 16, 2013. Bette was born on April 12, 1925 in Pennsylvania. She was a teacher with Anne Arundel Co. Public Schools. Bette enjoyed gardening, NASCAR, football, the Orioles and animals. She loved to cook and teaching kids was her passion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Golas; her daughter, Nancy L. Damberg; her sister, Elna Nordahl, and her brother, Kenneth Williams. Bette is survived by her daughter, Donna J. Kensicki; her granddaughter, Kristin Newman, and her sisters, Ruth Hinkley, Norma Fink and Marilyn Hohlbein.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue S.W. (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Lawrence Church, Jessup on Friday at 10 am. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
