KOPEC III , Adalbert Peter Adalbert "Dal"
Peter Kopec III of Stevensville, MD died on Saturday, June 21 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 39 years old and had endured a 2 1/2 year battle with lung cancer. Born on July 10, 1968 in Baltimore, MD, he was the cherished son of Sue and Dal Kopec of Glen Burnie, MD. He graduated from Old Mill High School and attended Chesapeake Community College prior to joining the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in 1988 where he was a member of the Local Union #24 for 20 years. On July 28, 1990 he married Victoria McCorkle in Glen Burnie. They moved to the Eastern Shore where they made their home in 1994. His passions in life were his family and friends and he thoroughly enjoyed boating, golfing, and coaching his childrens' teams. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Victoria Kopec of Stevensville, MD and their children, Victoria "Tori" Carolyn and Jamie Adalbert ; parents, Sue and Dal Kopec of Glen Burnie, MD; sister, Kelly Kramer and her husband David of Millersville, MD and their children Kaitlyn, Kyle, and Wendy; brother, Kyle Kopec and his wife Amy of Crofton, MD and their children Brenden and Hailey Jones; cousin, Rodney Farren and his wife Lisa of Stevensville, MD and their children, Samantha and Matthew; and mother-in-law, Carolyn McCorkle of Odenton, MD and many other loving family and friends.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 106 Shamrock Road, Chester, MD from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2008 on the grounds of Kentmorr Restaurant and Crab House, 910 Kentmorr Road, Stevensville, MD 21666 at 12 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tori and Jamie Kopec Benefit Fund at any M & T Bank; Hospice of Queen Anne's, Inc., 255 Comet Drive, Centreville, MD 21617; or the American Cancer Society, P.O.
