Agnes Anastasia (Smith) Dorsey was born in Baltimore April 7, 1928. On January 30, 2016, she left a loving circle of family and friends for her heavenly home. She is the daughter of the late Josephine Smith. Agnes attended St. Catherine School, St. Francis Academy and Marywood College (Scranton, PA). She worked at Provident Hospital as a lab technician. In 1953 she married the late Charles H. Dorsey Jr. A full-time homemaker and mother, Agnes actively volunteered in her church and community. Later she returned to work at Mercantile Bank in Retiree Benefits. She became a trust officer and retired as an assistant vice president. Among those preceding her in death are her husband, mother, brothers Leonard Smith and Father Paul Smith. Agnes is survived by children Kathleen Dorsey Bellow (Paul) and Peter Dorsey of Lake Charles, LA; Andrea Dorsey of Tucson, AZ; Judith Jackson (Michael), Claire Dorsey, Charles Dorsey III, Leonard Dorsey (Patricia), Martin Dorsey (Doreen) and Nicholas Dorsey, all of Baltimore; grandchildren Kristin and Kelly Watson, Jamall and Ashli Harris, Michael, Mitchell and Jessica Jackson, Justin Bellow, Iselin Danbolt, Evan and Bria Dorsey, and Julian Dorsey-Ruffin; great-granddaughters Jameerah Harris, Logan Hamilton and Jennifer Jackson-Morris. Her circle includes a number of other family, friends and colleagues. The family acknowledges her special caregivers Olivia Cross and Donetta Hickson. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial gifts to St. Francis Academy, 501 East Chase Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21202. Professional arrangements are entrusted to William C. Brown Community Funeral Home. Interment will be 11am on Monday, February 8 at New Cathedral Cemetery.
