Alice Virginia (Ginger) Church Notice

Ginger Church, 56, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Howard County General Hospital. Ginger is survived by her husband of 35 years, George W. Church Sr., her sons, George W. Church, Jr.(Darla), Jason Church (Melanie), her daughter Staci Church (Jeremy), her grandchildren George W. Church III, Ruby, Kinsley and Carson. She is also survived by her parents, Mary and Preston Taylor Sr., brothers Preston, Jr. (Kim) and Monte (Deb), and sister Tina Hoppenjans (Mark). She also is survived by 16 nieces and nephews. Ginger was born in Bethesda, Md. on Oct. 15, 1959 and grew up in College Park. She attended local public schools and graduated from Parkdale High School. Ginger's life centered around family--her own and the many others she "adopted" as honorary family members. The arrival of her four beloved grandchildren over the last few years gave her even more joy. She truly loved being a mother and a grandmother. She was truly loved in return. A celebration of Ginger's life as daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother will be held on Monday, Nov. 9, visitation 2-3 p.m., service 3-4 p.m., Linden-Linthicum United Methodist Church, 12101 Linden Linthicum Lane, Clarksville, Md. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Linden-Linthicum United Methodist Church.
