Anna Bittner Notice

Anna Baccala Bittner crossed into heaven January 8, 2016. Born on June 8, 1926 at 918 Baylis Street in Canton to Alberta and Theodore Baccala. Raised in Canton and Little Italy; sister to Antoinette, Mary, Vincenzia, Christina, Alberta, George, Sr. Mary Theodore SSND, Nicholas, Sam and Rosetta Baccala; she attended Sacred Heart of Jesus School and St. Leo's School. Upon graduation she worked at the Meadow Gold Ice Cream Company where she met her husband, James. Together they raised children Roseanna Morgan, Christina Bittner and James Gerard Bittner. Daughter Roseanna blessed her with grandchildren Jaime and Joseph Morgan. Grandson Joseph blessed her with great-grandsons Jacob and Zachary Morgan. James blessed her with daughter-in-law Mary. Anna lived in the Brooklyn Park community for 63 years and volunteered at St. Rose of Lima School for 15 years and at St. Athanasius Church. She was a member of the Baybrook Seniors, Curtis Bay Seniors and the Roland Terrace Democratic Club. In addition to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren she is survived by sisters Vincenzia Meroli and Sr. Mary Theodore SSND, many nieces, nephews, friends and godchildren. Viewing Thursday 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Gonce Funeral Service P.A., 4001 Ritchie Hwy. Mass of Christian Burial Friday January 15 at 10 a.m. in St. Athanasius Chapel, 4708 Prudence St, Baltimore 21226.
