He loved playing sports and later coaching, eventually returning to his alma mater, Prestonsburg High School, creating a winning football team. He joined the FBI as a Special Agent, relocating to MN and later Perry Hall, MD in 1968. After his retirement from the FBI, he taught at Mountain Christian School where he also started a vibrant sports program. Recently he enjoyed ushering at the Aberdeen Iron Birds games.
