BROWNE, III , C. Willing On June 14, 2013 C. Willing Browne, III, formerly of Baltimore, died in Littleton, CO. Mr. Browne was born in Baltimore on October 30, 1939, the son of the late C. Willing Browne, Jr. and Julia Williams Browne. He attended McDonogh School in Owings Mills and St. Paul's School in Concord, NH, graduated from the Gilman School in Baltimore in 1958 and from the University of North Carolina in 1962. On August 9, 1961, he married Mary Lee Wetzel of St. Louis. They moved from Baltimore to Colorado in 1963 in connection with his then-employment with the Martin-Marietta Corporation. Before leaving Baltimore he attended the University of Maryland School of Law and later received the degree of Juris Doctor from the University of Denver in 1966. Prior to his retirement Mr. Browne was a member of the firm of Hall & Evans in Denver and had an active practice relating to railroads. He was past president of the local chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a member of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel, a past member of the Episcopal Foundation Board, the Vestry of St. Michael and all Angels Church and the Board of Directors of Columbine Country Club. Mr. Browne is survived by his Wife; a son, C. Willing Browne, IV, of Denver; a daughter Louise Browne Gonzalez of Brentwood, CA; a grandson Jack Alberto Gonzalez; and a sister, Julia B. Sause, of Centreville, MD. He was predeceased by his younger brother, George W. Browne, of Baltimore.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Michael and All Angels Church in Denver on June 29, 2013. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church (1400 South University Boulevard, Denver, CO80210) or the Dumb Friends Animal League (2080 South Quebec Street, Denver, CO 80231).
