Julia G. Hoffman Notice

(nee Mullenberg) passed on July 27 at age 95 in Sarasota, FL. Born Oct 11, 1920 in Baltimore. Preceded by her husband of 61 years, Wilmer "Pug" Hoffman who passed away Sept 6, 2000. Attended Western High School. Danced in "OK Baltimore", at Old Century Theater and "Baltimore Follies" at the Hippodrome Theater in the 1930s. Took her love of music and rhythm to teach dancing at various schools in the Baltimore area for the next 30 years. Her old expression "Still kicking, but not as high" carried her through the years. Learned to play piano by ear at an early age and continued to play tunes of her era as well as modern songs into her 90s. She lived in the Catonsville area for 55 years and was an active member of Rolling Road Country Club from 1960-2007. Survived by son, Jack W. Hoffman, and daughter-in-law, Jane A. Moore of Parrish FL. Visitation hours Friday 8/12, 5-7 pm at the Sterling-Aston-Schwab-Witzke Funeral home at 1630 Edmondson Ave. Service will be held at 10 am at the Funeral home followed by the burial at Lorraine Cemetery in Woodlawn. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local no-kill animal shelters.
