She was born in Boston, MA and was the daughter of the late Nunzio and Josephine (D'Amico) Masciulli. She was the loving wife of Joseph J. Topping. Lucy was a graduate of the Boston school system, a graduate of Burdett College, and attended Towson University, with concentrations in art history and early child education. She taught at the Govans Presbyterian Nursery School. Later, she worked as an account representative at CareFirst/Blue Cross Blue Shield for more than twenty years, retiring in 2011. Surviving her are daughter Jennifer Topping and her husband Leif Mobley of Rodgers Forge; son David Topping and his wife, Jennifer Elin Topping of Gothenburg, Sweden; daughter-in-law Vanessa Liu Topping of Mount Washington; sister Antoinette (Norma) Doolen of Peabody, MA; brother Joseph L. Masciulli of Punta Gorda, Fl, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lucy was the loving and doting grandmother (Grammy) of William McCahan Topping and Olivia Elin Topping. Lucy loved to travel, visiting Paris, Rome, Copenhagen, London, Stockholm, and Beijing, as well as numerous locations throughout the United States and Canada.
