Mosley - Marvin Mosley, age 74, of Greenville, South Carolina passed away on May 24, 2016 at Greenville Place in Greenville, SC with his loving wife and son by his side. He was born in Starke, Florida on July 23, 1941 to the late Irvin Mosley and Doular Clemens Mosley. Marvin was raised in Bradford County where he attended Bradford High School. Shortly after school, Marvin joined the United States Army where he served for 6 years. During his time in the military, Marvin met the love of his life, Amy Whitney, and married her on October 23, 1964. Marvin was a devoted husband, loving father, brother, and friend who enjoyed his longtime career in Law Enforcement. He retired in 1985 after many years of dedicated service as a Police Officer at Baltimore County Police Department in Maryland and later retired from the Federal Government. He enjoyed traveling and with his occupation in the Federal Government he traveled to Ohio, Illinois, North Carolina, Lake City, FL, and Miami, FL then finally settled in Greenville, SC. Marvin was a Mustang enthusiast. For the majority of his adult life he owned and drove a Mustang. Marvin enjoyed collecting coins and guns, going on cruises with his wife, and spending time with his family. Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Amy Whitney Mosley, an accomplished administrator and educator, of Greenville, SC; his son, Marvin Keith (Amy) Mosley of Wellford, SC; his brother, Lawrence Mosley of Starke, FL; and his sisters, Annie Jones of Lake City, FL, Georgia Mae Boudreaux of Lafayette, LA, and Judy Roundtree of Starke, FL. A Graveside Celebration of Marvin's Life will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Douglas Cemetery in Lulu, FL with Reverend Ron Kimbrell officiating where military honors will be rendered.
