Work: Pioneer in the field of Aerospace Configuration Mngt, electrical-mechanical engineering; AAI, Allied Signal, Martin Marietta, National Cash Register, Raytheon. Entrepreneur: Sundown Remodeling & Repair Co. Education: St. Dominic's, Polytechnic Inst; engineering, computer technology. Volunteer work: Paramedic for Bel Air, Kingsville, Middle River Vol Fire Co; taught CPR via AHA; Big Brothers/Big Sisters; Every Kid Counts; John Archer Swimming; Jr Achievement; Parkville Teen Centers' Director; Pets on Wheels and more. Hobbies: Avid birder, Harford Bird Club member, created bird sanctuary; loved to canoe, crab, fish, snorkel, swim and travel; spent childhood summers with his grandmother on Back River; later Rehoboth Beach with his family. Friend of Bill. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Harriet, daughters Robin Kaufman, Amy Kaufman, niece Jennifer Thomas, grandson Ben Mason, sister Corinne Smith, many nieces & nephews. Ray donated his body to medical research. A mass will be dedicated & the family will celebrate Ray's life at a future date. In lieu of flowers please learn CPR, read to a child or adopt a dog.
