Verna Sisselberger Notice

Surrounded by family, Verna Katherine Sisselberger, with 88 years of experience under her belt, walked into the Light on March 4th. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, loyal wife and friend. She was a Catholic, democrat, pottery teacher, animal lover, and a great artisan of the cheesecake. Fan of the silver-screen and walk-anywhere, classy Baltimore gal, Verna was a Betty Davis beauty in her own humble way. She was endearing, simple and kind. As "Friend", she was a great listener. As "Mom", she was an umbrella for those rainy days of life: a safe haven of love, understanding, and biblical forgiveness. As "Mom-Mom", she was the spoiler, caretaker, and best friend when there were no friends. Verna is a timeless piece of history, and history is immortal. Verna is preceded by her husband, Robert and remembered by her daughters: Barbara, Martha, and Karen, her six talented grandchildren, three beautiful great-grandladies, and her son-in-law, the man who was the polish for her golden years. Viewing: 3-5 & 7-9, Mar 8, Hubbard's Funeral Home (4107 Wilkens Ave). Funeral at 12:15pm, Mar 9, Our Lady of the Angels Chapel (711 Maiden Choice Ln) with burial at 2pm, Lakeview Memorial Park (2724 Liberty Rd). Memorial gifts may be made to the House of Ruth: http://www.hruth.org/donate.
