Reginald Combs Notice


Reginald "Reggie" Combs was born in Baltimore, MD on February 23rd, 1915 to Isaac and Daisy Combs. The 6th of 17 children, Reggie passed away on July 2, 2014. Following his discharge in 1945, Reggie went to work for The C&P Telephone Company where he met his soon to be wife of 47 years. Reggie married the former Gladys Mebane in 1947. A man of great faith, Reggie was a charter member of Douglass Memorial Church, where he remained a member for 85 years. He also attended New All Saints Church and had most recently been a regular at The Open Church. He is survived and celebrated by his 3 children Craig, Carl and Lisa , 3 grandchildren Johnathan, Nicole and Justin, 1 great grandchild, Tai, 2 daughters-in-law, Lane and Patsy, 1 sister-in-law, an "adopted" son, Michael Mayfield, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is pre-deceased by 16 brothers and sisters and his loving wife, Gladys. Family will receive friends at the Family Owned Wylie Funeral Home P.A. of Baltimore County, 9200 Liberty Road on Friday from 5-8pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at The Open Church at 2nd English Lutheran Church, 5010 Briarclift Road for a 10:30am wake 11 am funeral. Interment will be held Monday July 14th at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery @ 10am.
