There's no realistic way to sum up what & who Roxanne was to me...she was & is the sister I always wanted & never had...I was introduced to her by her father george @ Roll R Way skating rink on Mathis Ave in Manassas I was 7 & she was 9, we became friends & stayed friends over the years sometimes we didnt keep in contact for a yr or 2 but we always picked up right where we left off as if time had never passed...She is 4 ever in my heart, the Batman to this Rob"y"n, the Starsky to my Hutch, the Godmother to my kids & I to hers...it's been hard but now I'm at a point where I can say Rock, I will see you again BELIEVE that!!! but not yet,not yet...until then GOD, please take care of my girl...there's no~one like her & no~one one better to have at your side...there are many stories I could tell & many adventures we had shared but some of those memories are mine to hold onto...No one could smile & light up a room like she could...no one could wear a clown costume quite like her, or bowl a game like she did, drive a firebird like she did, laugh quite like her, have that way about her that completely made you feel & know it'll be okay...kept your confidences & always, always, always held family in the heart & with the highest respect & regard...I love you Rock & I miss you, not a day goes by that I don't wish...for more...more time, more conversation, more good times, more of us & our kids...& I regret not...not knowing sooner, not being there when you needed, not knowing how to cope whenever you told me about a new health issue...I don't mean to go on, so...for Roxanne's family just know when you look up she's the brightest star you'll see next to Dad (George), know she loved & respected each & everyone of you singularly & as a whole family unit, & for all the countless friends she has, had & held dear Roxanne was the BESTFRIEND TO US ALL not just to me I want to be selfish but I can't, she was the strength for all of us ...so when I say she was my BEST FRIEND from my heart I can truley say , know & feel that as each of you will say & know & feel that in your hearts...hold onto that feeling because her heart is so big we can all fit. Much Love to all, David( she loved you beyond all belief), Nan, David Lee, Mama Ruth, Teresa, Nola, Cindy, Dawn, Talon if I left out anyone I'm sorry...she was/is one of a kind & we were all BLESSED to be graced with her presence here on earth. Now she's an Angel free from all pain & forever your Guardian Angel.

I was so upset to hear of Roxanne's passing. I will always remember her spirt, laughter and how she loved to drive her school bus and spoiled the students she drove back & fourth to school on a daily basis in Prince William County. She was truly one of a kind and will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. I went to high school with Roxanne and she had a great sense of humor. Many years ago, when Roxanne was Miss Manassas Park, she did a song from Grease as her talent. I can still see her pretending to be the character Rizzo and singing "Sandra Dee" to a teddy bear while wearing a blond wig and shortie pajamas. The audience thought she was so very funny and obviously the judges thought she was great too! I hope she continued to bring her sense of humor to all she did. My deepest sympathies to her family.

Roxanne touched everyone's heart in many different ways, in the end she was a warrior fighting a battle against a stronger enemy. She will be missed tremendously by all of the friends she made in her 47 years and her bowling buddies will certainly miss her and the entertainment she provided. To David Lee, you are still a big part of our family, Jaimee, Nikki and I are so saddened for you and want you to know that door is always open. Be strong and know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

The bowling alley will never be the same. I will truly miss hearing Roxanne yelling at her husband, her mother, and her son. Roxanne was a very blunt woman who wasn't afraid to say what she felt but deep down she was a sensitive and loving women. God is probably thinking "How am I gonna handle this chick?" But at the same time he knows he's gonna get a laugh everyday and lots of entertainment. I wish the Markell family all the love and support. Roxanne will truly be missed.
