Mildred R. (Rickl) Chermock

Notice Condolences

CHERMOCK , Mildred R. (Rickl) Mildred R. (Rickl) Chermock , 88 passed away at home October 31, 2009. Her husband Franklin H. Chermock passed in 1967. She is survived by her daughter Linda C. Hassinger and her husband Robert of Grafton, one brother, Louis Rickl of Jaffrey NH, five grandchildren, William, Tracy Ann, Kimberly, Reilly, Linda, many nieces and nephews including Bob White in PA and Sue Sann in MD. She was predeceased by two sons, Franklin W. "Skip" Chermock in 1984, Paul W. Chermock in 1978, two sisters, Ann Abbinanti and Margaret "Peggy" Baldwin. Mrs. Chermock was born December 22, 1920 in Pittsburgh raised and educated there the daughter of the late Louis and Caroline (Staska) Rickl. She lived in Baltimore MD, retired to Grafton and has resided the past 18 years in Worcester. She was Treasurer of Ray's Envelope Mfg. Co. until 1986. Mrs. Chermock was a longtime member of The Lions Club of Grafton, delivered books to many homebound residents of Grafton, was a reader with The Audio Journal in Worcester and a faithful volunteer reader at The Rice Square School in Worcester. Her husband Franklin was a well known Lepadoptist and named a butterfly species he discovered, The Glaucopsyche Lygdamus Mildredae for her.
Services and interment for Mrs. Chermock will be at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are in the care of The Roney Funeral Home in North Grafton.
