BRNICH , Edward P. On Wednesday, May 8, 2013, Edward P. Brnich of Ellicott City passed away suddenly. Ever loving husband of Phyllis for 54 years; father of Edward (Darlene), Carol (Roger), Richard (Hilda), and David (Karen). Devoted son of the late Mary Ann (nee Bednar) and Peter S Brnich; loving brother of Theresa Jesko, Mary Wolf (Frank), George (Martha Jean), Bertie and the late Albert, Michael, and Rose; grandfather of Sarah, Molly, Rebecca and Zachary. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958 and retired after 41 years at Amoco Oil. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, NASCAR races, and spending time with family, co-workers, and many friends. He served as Board Member of the Ellicott City Fire Department and was a member and usher at Church of the Resurrection; he was always eager to lend a helping hand for anyone in need.
The family will receive friends at HARRY H. WITZKE'S FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, on Monday, 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Tuesday, 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
