Samuel C. Stinner Notice


Samuel C. Stinner, age 86, of Parkville, MD and formerly of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Sam was a 1945 graduate of John Harris High School, a 1951 graduate of Penn State University and was also a WWII Navy veteran. He was a retired industrial engineer with Unisys Corp. In his retirement, he volunteered as a mentor with SCORE and also founded the Annapolis, MD chapter of the Penn State Alumni Assn. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel C. and Myrtle Davis Stinner and his spouse Mabel M. Stinner. He is survived by two sons, Blake D. Stinner and his wife Rena of Long Beach, WA, Jeffrey S. Stinner and his wife Patricia of Cornwall, PA, and one daughter, Julia S. Waddington of Camp Hill, PA; along with 6 grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM on Saturday, November 9 in the chapel at Oak Crest Village, Parkville, MD. Donations in his memory may be made to Oak Crest Benevolent Care Fund, c/o Philanthropy Office, 8800 Walther Blvd., Parkville, MD 21234.
