James Freeman Etheridge Jr. died peacefully on May 13, 2016. Jim was born June 23rd , 1931 in Baltimore Md. He grew up just a block from Aliceann Perkins, his amazing wife of 42 years, until she passed in 1997. After completing high school at City College in 1949 and graduating Johns Hopkins in 1953, Jim spent two years (1954-55) in Alaska with the U.S. Army. He is survived by three children and three grandchildren. James Freeman Etheridge Jr. left more than footprints in the sands of time and he will be dearly missed.

It came as a shock to read this morning about Jim's death. We last had lunch a year ago with another Hopkins fraternity brother.
Jim was always a quiet man but one who knew his way through life. In short, Jim was one of the good guys.
My sincere condolences to his wife and children.
