Dear Mary Ruth - Today was your funeral, and I was unable to come. I so wanted to meet your family and share my memories of you as a child. We had such fun in school, here in Aberdeen. I can still hear your distinct voice and your laughter. We had many fun conversations while you lived in S. Carolina. When you moved to DE, we promised to stay in touch, but I knew something was not right. I will so miss you and all that we shared. Rest in peace, dear schoolmate and friend - until we meet again.

Sincere condolences for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn," sustain your family during this challenging time. Isaiah 61: 1, 2

Mary, thank you for the privilege of taking care of you during the most important trip in your life. We ate chocolate while we watched Jeopardy, the Wheel of Fortune and Grey's Anatomy. You stuck your tongue out to me when Julie and I would make you do something you didn't want us to do. LOL. I cried during your final days when Julie would climb into bed with you or lean over and thank you for being a great mom. The stories were tear jerkers. On your final day on earth, Julie, David, Tom, Erica and Melyssa via FaceTime said our good byes. You became a part of my family because we grew so close. Look for me when I make my final trip to join the heavenly hosts. God bless us all.
