KENNETH R. DEVOE

MILLINOCKET - Kenneth R. Devoe, 82, died Friday, April 20, 2012, at a Millinocket hospital. He was born Oct. 6, 1929, in Bangor, the son of Irene Devoe. Kenny grew up in Millinocket and attended Millinocket schools, graduating from Stearns High School, class of 1949. After his graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War, based out of Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi and Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. Kenny then returned to Millinocket and worked for Great Northern Paper Co. for a short time before relocating to Wisconsin. After his retirement he returned to Millinocket, where he lived the past several years. Kenny is survived by two cousins, George Albert and his wife, Ann, of Hermon and Eugene "Runt" Albert and his wife, Shirley, of Millinocket. He was predeceased by his mother; and a cousin, Richard "Dick" Albert. In keeping with Kenny's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
