A good and generous man. A life well-lived. He and Bev were friends of the Carter family for many years, and we always "bought our Fords from a Friend". When I was learning to ski at Sugerloaf in the mid-sixties, we often saw them there. I have a fond recollection from that time of a lunch break with the Friends along the Tote Road on an exceptionally fine Spring-skiing day. Our most heartfelt condolances to you all.

Dear Ann, Cooper and family. When my brother Deacon Brown worked at Friend & Friends, I used to spend many days at the corner of Main St. I always felt welcomed, and Peter knew how much I loved Fords. I was a little boy, but he always treated me with friendly welcomes.
In high school, I pumped gas at the station for two years, and again received nothing but respect. Because of the way he treated me, he helped me grow as a person, and learned a good work ethic. Thank you Mr. Friend

Dear Cooper, Meredith and family. I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. Although I didn't know him well, we became daily "buddies" when seeing each other at State Street market picking up our sandwiches. He always had a smile and something nice to say when I asked how his day was going. I'll miss seeing him! My thoughts and sympathies are with all of you.
