James Cohron Jr.

James "Jay" Edward Cohron, Jr, age 54, of Youngsville , NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2013 after an extended illness.

He was a graduate of Winder Barrow High School and Florida Baptist Theological College. He served eight years as Staff Sergeant of the 31st Aircraft Generation Squadron in the United States Air Force, stationed at Homestead Air Force Base in Miami. He worked as a jet engine mechanic for GE Aircraft Engines in Durham, NC for over 17 years.

Survivors include: his parents, Jim and Betty Cohron of Winder; daughter, Melissa Tavernier (Scott) of Thomasville, NC; four sisters, Julie Cohron of Watkinsville, Suzie Cohron of Lawrenceville, Cindy Perry (Bob) of Winder, and Betsy Adams (Cliff) of Watkinsville; three nieces, Morgan Adams, Elizabeth Perry, and Heather Perry; nephew, Mitch Adams; and a granddaughter, Carly Hunt.

Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 24 at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are made to any ministry of their choice.

J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
