Allen Montgomery, 65, of Winder died Saturday, September 22, 2012.
Born in Monroe to the late Grover Allen and Dorothy Montgomery, he was the owner of Montgomery Electric Co.
Survivors include: his wife, Deborah Montgomery of Winder; children, Reginia Montgomery, Kimberly Butler, Blake Montgomery & Lauren Montgomery, all of Winder; grandchildren, Shantel Schexnayder, J.R. Wright, Kayla Kaufman and Isabella (Bella) Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Braylee, Lucas and Graci; sisters, Catherine Montgomery, Frances Costley, and Evelyn Edmondson, all of Tucker, Faye Parham of Loganville, and Janice Hall of Dacula.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 8 p.m. on Monday, September 24 at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 25 in Smith Memory Chapel with Rev. Mike Peavy, Rev. Wright Humble, Rev. Jason Britt and Rev. Terry Casper officiating. Interment will be in Sorrell Spring Primitive Baptist Church in Walton Co.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Barrow Co.
