Charles Lamar Huff, Sr., 93, of Athens, died January 12th, 2013.

"Charlie" proudly served in the 106th Cavalry, 3rd Army during WWII (267 days of constant battle in Europe). Being a very friendly person, he later enjoyed being an insurance agent. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by: five children; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 19th from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Bernstein Funeral Home in Athens. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at Friendship Christian Church, where Mr. Huff was a charter member. A graveside service will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to his church or the Wounded Warrior Project.
