Floyd "Mutt" Cooper, age 78, of Winder passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
During his life, he served in the United States Army. Mutt retired from Akins Ford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Albert Cooper and Onnie Teal Barton.
Survivors include: his wife, Virginia Cooper of Winder; three sons, Jeff (Cheryl) Cooper of Braselton, Chris (Tiffany) Cooper of Athens and Chad Cooper of Winder; sister, Evelyn Haynie of Winder; five grandchildren, Wesley Cooper, Casey Crowe, Blake Cooper, Crystal Cooper, and Jeremy Rider; and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 17 at Smith Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 18 with Dr. John Talley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
