Mrs. Ionia Grekos East, age 92, of Buford, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013.

Mrs. East was born April 18, 1921 in Manchester, New Hampshire. She was an employee of the United States Postal Service for twenty-two years and also worked at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Buford and a member of the Daisy Shadburn BYKOTA Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Norman East.
She is survived by: her daughter and son in law, Rosemary and Steve Hughes of Dacula; son and daughter in law, Kenneth P. and Rebecca East of Rixeyville, VA; grandchildren, Micah Hughes and Hannah E. Proudler; great grandsons, Elias Proudler and Ezra Proudler; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no memorial service.
Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Buford Building Fund in memory of Ionia East.
