Funeral services for Clyde R. White Jr., 51, of Beekman will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with the Reverend Bobby O'Fallon officiating. Interment will follow at the Hughes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 12, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clyde Robert White, Jr. was born November 11, 1957 in Midland, Texas and he died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at his home in Beekman. He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Robert White Sr. and two granddaughters, Kaylynn Marie Heckford and Marlie Brooke Heckford.

Clyde was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. An ironworker by trade, Clyde will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Hilda S. White and their children, Darius R. Heckford and his wife, Jennifer, Della Wallis and her husband, Jamie, Drew Heckford and his wife, Letha, Clyde R. White, III, Jonathan C. White, a special adopted son, and Trent Cox; his mother, Hope White Settlemeyer; three sisters, Sherry Leblanc, Debra Brown, and Daisey Bellard; seven grandchildren; three great-grandsons; three sisters-in-laws, Betty Hayter, Vanessa Wilkerson and her husband, Chris, Delois Stewart Austin and her husband, Carroll; a brother-in-law, O.A. Stewart and his wife, A.J.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Larry Dean Robinson, Tiamon Robinson, Donald L. Johnson, Bob Johnson, Jerry Kavalir, and Tommy "Cuz" Stewart.

Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Robinson, Buddy Andrews, Ray Beebe, Ray Robinson, Danny Bolin, Eddie "Pop" Setser, Philip Clark, Harold Holland, and Tom Carter.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all our family, friends, and our very special hospice nurses.
