Funeral services for Mrs. Daisey Boddie, 88, of West Monroe will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe with Pastor Michi Head officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery in Bastrop. Visitation was held from 5 -7 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2008 and Saturday, December 27, 2008 after 12 p.m. until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mrs. Boddie was born September 21, 1920 in Fisher and passed away December 24, 2008 in West Monroe. She was a retired registered Nurse with the Public Health Unit in Morehouse Parish, an avid bridge player, longtime meber of the First United Methodist Church in Bastrop and the Business Professional's Women's Club. After moving to West Monroe in 1999, she attended McGuire Methodist Church in West Monroe and continued to be very active with civic and charitable organizations.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, James H. Boddie Sr.; grandson, Charles K. Boddie II and three sisters.
She is survived by by sons, Judge James H. Boddie Jr. and wife, Julia of Ruston and Charles Kent Boddie; grandson, William Grimes and wife, Robin; granddaughter, Jessica Boddie and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Grimes. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jim Sutterfield, Marcus Bailey, Charles Heard, John Heard, Eric Person, Scott Kelley, William Grimes and Steve Owens.
Contributions may be made in her honor to the methodist Children's Home in Ruston or the charity of choice.
