Home going services for Dorothy Mae Clack, 80, of Bastrop will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Ivory Chapel M.B.C. with the Rev. Bobby J. Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Henry V. Adams Cemetery under the direction of Tennant's Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at the funeral home.

She was a very outgoing and loving person and was loved by everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richmond Clack; a son, Alex Harris Jr.; her parents, Jimmy and Geneva Nelson; a stepmother, Mrs. Vera Beaver; and two sisters, Minnie Simonton and Cora B. Williams.

She leaves to cherish four loving daughters, Fannie Phillips, Ruth A. Harris, Christine N. Scott, all of Bastrop, and Shirley Matthews of Detroit; three sisters, Lola M. Ridley, Pealie B. Hollins of Houston and Mattie Calloway of Monroe, La.; two brothers, Crawford Wheeler of N.C. and Robert Wheeler of Los Angeles; two adoptive sisters, Angela Clark of Ruston, La. and Sharon Cleveland of Monroe; and one adoptive brother, John C. Clark of Monroe. She had 17 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Repast will be held at Ivory Chapel M.B.C. fellowship hall.
