Funeral services for Mr. Gary E. Reynolds will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. The Reverend Dalyn Helbling will officiate the services. Interment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop..

Gary Ellis Reynolds was born January 18, 1941 in Springhill to the late Ellis Reynolds and Ruthie Kilpatrick Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds passed away peacefully December 7, 2013 at the Oak Woods Rehab and Wellness Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Reynolds was a member of the First Church of God in Bastrop and owner of Gary's Home Improvements. He enjoyed traveling and riding motorcycles. He especially enjoyed vacationing and camping in the western states. He also loved fishing. Above all he loved his family and the memories he created with them.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife of 53 years, Evonne Reynolds of Bastrop; his three children, Kevin Reynolds and his wife, Bessie of Wilmot, Ark., Keith Reynolds of Bastrop and Kelli Elkins and her husband, Van of Gilbert, Ariz. He is also survived by a brother, Barry L. Reynolds and his wife, Sandy of Keithville; three sisters, Janet Walker and her husband, Bill of Bradenton, Florida, Dianne James and her husband, Paul of Bastrop and Beverly Harris and her husband, Donny of Hot Springs, Ark.; six grandchildren, Tyler Reynolds and his wife, Lisa of Thibideaux, Taylor Marcantel and her husband, Mike of Wilmot, Ark., Whitney McKnight of Gilbert, Ariz., Cady McKnight of Gilbert, Ariz., Grant McKnight of Bastrop and Lily Elkins of Gilbert, Ariz.; three great-grandchildren Carson Marcantel, Layton Marcantel and Allie Reynolds.
Serving as pallbearers are Bill Walker, Donny Harris, Tyler Reynolds, Cliff Hornbeak, Carl Hornbeak and Paul James.
