Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Eloise Dumas, 84, of Bastrop will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with the Rev. Dalyn Helbling officiating. Interment will follow in Red Wing Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Friday at Golden Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dumas, a retired Mississippi riverboat cook and member of First Church of God, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Cornerstone Hospital in West Monroe.

She was very involved in church activities, especially those involving the youth. She was a founder of our local women's softball league and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. A favorite pastime was collecting genealogy information about her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Reese Dumas; siblings, William Alberta Bolton, Tildy Luvella Tackett, Viola Raymond, Earnest Lavelle Bolton, Myrtle Beatrice Prince, Eva Louella McGaha, Jessie Mary Jane Turner, Johnnie Sarah Marie Eley, and J. W. Bolton; and parents, John William Bolton and Lillie Louella Archer Bolton.

Mrs. Dumas is survived by her son, Dennis Ainsworth and wife Dawn of San Diego, Calif.; a grandson, Daniel Ainsworth of Lynchburg, Va. and a granddaughter, Delissa Ainsworth of New Haven, Conn.
