Funeral services for Mr. James Burle "Jim" Easom of Bastrop will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Reverend Kevin Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

James Burle Easom, a journeyman electrician with the Shaw Group, was born August 19, 1964 in Bastrop and he passed away unexpectedly Monday April 16, 2012 in Texarkana, Arkansas. James is preceded in death by his mother, Lavada Hackworth and his father, William Charles "Bill" Easom, Sr.; and two brothers, Marcus W. Easom and Johnny M. Boyte.

He is survived by his children, Chantelle Easom and fiance' Johnny Fife, Savanah Easom, and Marcus Easom and fiancee' Michelle Cable all of Bastrop; three grandchildren, Addison Fife, Briley Fife, and Kylie Easom; father, C.W. Hackworth of Bastrop; nine brothers and sisters, William Boyte and wife, Marlene of Bastrop, Joyce Boyte of Bastrop, Dean Boyte and wife, Mary of Atmore, Alabama, Steve Boyte and wife, Sylvia, of Houma, Louisiana, Allen Boyte and wife, Polly of Monroe, Louisiana, Johnny Easom of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Sharon Gayle Brown and husband, James of Bastrop, William Charles Easom, Jr. and wife, Paula of Bastrop, Bobby Dale Easom and wife, Deborra of Bastrop, and Vicky Ratcliff and husband, Thomas of Bastrop; a special nephew, Jason Duncan and wife Sharon; his best friend since first grade, Phillip Daughtery; and numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family.

Serving as pallbearers are Scott Boyte, Ron Fudge, Zach Lebrun, Eric Chadwick, Charles Palmer, and Shane Boyte. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Duncan, Phillip Daughtery, David Fisher, and Raeven Ratcliff.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 20, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
