Funeral services for Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Scarborough, of Haile, Louisiana will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 in the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Reverends Doug Edwards and Mike Murry officiating. Interment will follow at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery near Linville, Louisiana under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

James Edward Scarborough, a retired foreman on the Number 3 paper machine with International Paper Company, was born October 8, 1946 at Haile, Louisiana to the late Sim Robert Scarborough, Sr. and Ruth Lee Stripling Scarborough. He passed away, surrounded by his family, at his boyhood homeplace in Haile on October 25, 2011.
He was preceded in death by: His parents; a son and daughter-in-law - Timothy Shane Scarborough and Rhoda Lynn Scarborough; an infant daughter, Anna Marie Scarborough; and two sisters - Dollie Ruth Perot and Judy Fife.
Mr. Scarborough is survived by: His wife, Marie Chappell Scarborough of Haile; a son, Trinity David Scarborough of Bastrop; two daughters - Katrina Chantelle "Kitty" Scarborough of Hot Springs, Ark and Brigeana Marie "Jeanie" Scarborough of Haile; five grandchildren - Tyler Shane Scarborough and Jamee Lynn Scarborough of the Vaughn community in Morehouse Parish, Andrea Marie Wilson of Hot Springs, Alexis Nichole Scarborough of Clinton, Ark. and Clayton Edward Scarborough of Haile; and a brother, Sim Robert Scarborough, Jr. and his wife, Janie Jo Scarborough of Haile.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bryant Fife, Billy Scarborough, Doyle Scarborough, Chad Smith, James E. Sharp, and Andrew Carroll.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 28, 2011 beginning at 12 noon until time for services at the funeral home.
