Jimmie Turner Sivils was born May 24, 1937, in Jones, Louisiana. She went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2012, after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sivils will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, at the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Bastrop with the Reverends Bruce Culp and James Moffett officiating. Interment will follow at the LA-ARK Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.

Mrs. Sivils was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Turner and Fannie Porter Turner; an infant son; four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Stanford Sivils of Bastrop; two daughters, Beverly Culp and her husband, Bruce of Hamburg, Arkansas and Karen Cox and her husband, Lawrence of Bastrop, Louisiana; two sons, Randy Sivils and his wife, Anita of Houston, Texas and Stan Sivils and his wife, Tonya of Hamburg, Arkansas; two brothers, Levee Turner of Bastrop, Louisiana and Jeff Turner of Riverdale, Georgia; one sister, Irla Mae Kiersey of Bastrop, Louisiana; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons, Matthew Culp, Jared Culp, Andy Bright, Jason Bailey, Ryley Culp, Craig Culp, and Jesse Sivils.

Mrs. Sivils was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, and spending time with her grandkids. She also enjoyed gospel singing and listening to her family sing and she always kept Stanford busy with her "honey-do's". Mrs. Sivils was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church for 42 years. She dearly loved her church.

The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of the NSICU at St. Francis Medical Center along with Dr. McHugh for the care and compassion shown to our loved one. For those who wisht the family suggest that memorials be made to the Pine Grove Baptist Church, Bastrop, Louisiana.

Visitation with the family will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012, at the Pine Grove Baptist Church.
