Joyce Lane Talley Hatch, 84, of The Woodlands, Texas, was called Home Sunday, April 13, 2014 following a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was born to the late J.B. and Era Talley Sr., April 5, 1930, in Monroe. She attended Louisiana Tech University, and graduated with a BS in Business Education from Northeast Lousiana State University, and received her MS in Education from USL in Lafayette. She was married to the late Alfred Parker Hatch, and they lived together in Lafayette, where she taught Business Education at Lafayette High School for 25 years.
She is survived by her brother, John Berton Talley Jr. and wife Sharon of Bastrop; two children, Jan Hatch Cribb and husband John of The Woodlands, Texas and Alfred Ray Hatch of Lafayette. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014 with the Rev. Joe Don Hawthorn officiating and music provided by Mr. Tim Post. Visitation will be prior to the funeral from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m, and there will also be a graveside service at Stevenson Cemetery following the chapel service.
Pallbearers will be Alfred Ray Hatch Jr., M. Alan Alleman Jr., Embry Arnold McKee Jr., John B. Talley III, Stephen Wayne Talley and Kadin Francis Alleman
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Cancer Research, in the name of Joyce Lane Talley Hatch.
