Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Brodie Sr. will be held 3 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Mer Rouge. Reverends Whit Stodgill and Dale Farley will officiate the services. Interment and committal services will follow at Mer Rouge Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.

Kenneth Ray Brodie was born April 27, 1930 in England, Ark. to the late George Brodie and Sally Cochran Brodie. He passed away, surrounded by his family, on November 7, 2014 at the Oak Woods Home in Mer Rouge. Mr. Brodie is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 64 years, Jamie Sanderlin Brodie; and two siblings, George Brodie, Jr. and Joyce Ann Nauss.
Mr. Kenneth Brodie graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1950 from the College of the Ozarks and he was the owner of Brodie's Pharmacy in Mer Rouge for 62 years. He was also a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and a Mason.
Mr. Brodie is survived by his son, Kenneth Brodie Jr. and his companion, Ben Nobles; his daughter, Tracey Brodie Philley and her husband, Lannie Philley all of Mer Rouge; and two grandsons, Christopher Davis of Manhattan, N.Y. and Shelton Davis of Denver, Colo.
The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. until time for services on Monday, November 10 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Mer Rouge.
