Lawrence Henry "Larry" Rust died while sleeping Sunday, January 5, 2009. He was 58 years of age. He grew up while living in Bastrop and for many years was a radio personality on stations including KVOB and KNOE. At the time of his sudden death he was living in Alexandria.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill McCullin officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Larry is survived by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Ray P. Rust of Garland, Texas; a sister, Mrs. John H. Watson and husband Jory of Richardson, Texas; two daughters, Savannah Cantu and Brianna Rust of Alexandria; and grandson, Blaise Cantu of Alexandria.
The family will receive friends at Golden Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
