Mrs. Leona Tyson McDougald of Bastrop passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2014 at St Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She was born in Oak Grove on February 8, 1941 to the late Charles Louis "Boots" Tyson and Myrtle Trichell Tyson.

A time of fellowship and remembrance will be held in her honor from 2 until 4 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Interment and committal services will follow at 5 p.m. Friday, July 25th, at Redwing Cemetery with Bro. Danny Parker officiating.
Mrs. McDougald is survived by her husband, Joe McDougald of Bastrop; her two sons, Charles W. Snow and his wife, Glenda Kay and Jim Bob McDougald and his wife, Pricisilla all of Bastrop; two grandsons, Charles Joseph Snow and Cody Allen Blackburn; three granddaughters, April Kay Repp and her husband, Josh, Samantha Snow, and Krystal Patrick and her husband, Jessie. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Eddie Repp, Dale Repp, and Claudia Brooke Patrick; numerous brothers and sisters; and a host of nephews, nieces, and extended family.
The family wishes to extend a "special thank-you" to the staff at Lagniappe Health Care for their care and concern shared with Leona during her illness.
