Funeral services for Mrs. Marteal Hobbs Mann, a homemaker, of Bastrop will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Bro. Allen Eppinette officiating. Interment and committal services will be at Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
Marteal Hobbs Mann was born June 14, 1932 in the Bear Skin Community of West Carroll Parish to the late Euel E. Hobbs Sr. and Ethel Peterson Hobbs. Mrs. Mann passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2014 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Leroy Mann; a sister, Maxine Lance; two brothers-in-law, Al Lance and Nick Nickademus; and step-granddaughter, Wendy Paulette Severe.
Mrs. Mann is survived by her four children, Beverly Jones and her husband, Wayne Jones of Swartz, Larry Mann of DeVille, Pamela Kuykendall of Bastrop, and Steve Mann and his wife, Sharon Mann of Crossett, Ark.; 12 grandchildren, Kellie Jones, Anthony Wright, Brad Wright, Regina McMillan, Tonya Brown, Jennifer Harris, Tammy Johnson, Ryan Mann, Shannon Mann, Linn Leighber, Jason Mann, and Sandra Jackson; two brothers, Euel E. Hobbs Jr. and his wife, Pat Hobbs and Ibry Doyle Hobbs; two sisters, Martha Earline Nickademus and Georgia Lee Mann and her husband, Claude Mann; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Mann, Dusty McMillan, Anthony Wright, Brad Wright, Holden Brown and Hunter Pittman.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
