Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Dean will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with the Rev. Ramon Warren officiating.  Interment will follow at 1 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.

Mary Ann White Dean was born February 22, 1926 in Bastrop and she passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Cherry Ridge Guest Care Center in Bastrop.

Mrs. Dean, a homemaker, was a member of the Graceminister Presbyterian Church in Monroe.  She was a past Worthy-Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sunny South Chapter No. 12, a past Royal-Matron of Amaranth, and past High Priestess of Ladies of Oriental Shrine.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Allen "Mike" Dean; her parents, John Larkin White and Sarah Rachel Sanders White; a grandson, Jack Allen Dean; and six brothers, Sydney White, Joseph White, Jack White, Walter White, Robert White, and Jesse White. 

Ms. Mary is survived by a daughter, Sandra Dean of Wichita Falls, Kan.; three sons, Bruce Allen Dean of Wasilla, Alaska, Brad Austin Dean of Denton, Md., and Jack Dean of Bastrop; a sister, Tommie Sue Robinson and a brother, David White, both of Bastrop; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

Serving as pallbearers are Joe Foster, John Foster, Ben White, Jonathan White, Rusty White and Ronnie White.
