Funeral services for Mrs. Pattie Jean Cope Johnson of Bastrop will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the First Apostolic Church of Bastrop with the Rev. J.T. Wheat officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 29 at the First Apostolic Church, 11384 Crossett Road, Bastrop.

Mrs. Johnson was born October 24, 1930 in Portland, Ark. to the late Gordon L. Cope and Colon P. Pearson Cope. She passed away on Friday, June 25, 2010 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Bastrop and she was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sherman "S.K." Johnson; her parents; two brothers, Joe Cope and R.L. Cope; four sisters, Jewel Bierbaum, Eula Seboth, Margurite Cone, and Inez Cope.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by two children, Janis L. Russell and husband, Larry of Chesapeake, Va. and Ricky K. Johnson and wife, Connie of White Hall, Ark.; two granddaughters, Kimberly Russell Fender and husband, Greg and Jennifer C. Russell; two great-grandchildren, Caleb Russell Fender and Chloe Noelle Fender all of Richmond, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
