Funeral services for Mr. Robert C. Fowler, 74, of Bastrop were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe. The Rev. Tommy Nelson, the Rev. Jimmy Fowler and the Rev. Larry White officiated. Interment followed at Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe.

Mr. Fowler was born July 4, 1935 in Highlanddale, Miss. and died December 31, 2009 in Bastrop. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, Past President of the Missouri Baptist Deaf Convention, Past President of the Missouri Senior Citizens and former Moderator of the Agape Baptist Church of the Deaf.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Vlady Fowler, and two sisters Patsy Miller and Sue Fowler.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Fowler; five sons, Robert Clinton Fowler Jr. of Shiloh, Ill., Gerald Fowler of St. Hedwig, Texas, Michael Fowler of West Point, Miss., James (Petey) Fowler of Garland, Texas and Paul Fowler of West Point, Miss.; one step-son, Mike Brown of Sterlington; two sisters, Jean Sizemore of Pheba, Miss. and Jo Grisham of Tupelo Miss.; two brothers, Jimmy Fowler of Laurel, Miss. and Tommy Fowler of Pheba, Miss.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Scott Duke, Leon Guirlando, James Brownell, Lantis Oglesbee, Harry Trahan and Lacy Brownell. Honorary pallbearers are Lowell McClendon, Josh Thomason, John Bruce, and Nathan Hester and grandsons.

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 2 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe.
