Mr. Spigner passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. He had worked at International Paper Company and as an employee on an oilfield drilling rig. Mr. Spigner was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and The American Legion. He was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. His memories will be cherished by family and friends. He was known as "King of the Grill". There was a time when you said "Load Up" and he would beat you to the car. Bill loved the outdoors, cooking, camping, campfires, riding around looking for what we haven't figured out yet and sitting for hours visiting with his family and friends. He was very supportive and involved with his family. He loved the laughter and noise of kids playing and of course calling on Uncle Bill. His time and many memories will be treasured and missed by many.
Mr. Spigner was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Gandy and Mr. and Mrs. George Spigner.
He is survived by his parents, Jack and Ann Spigner of Bastrop; son, Joshua Seth Spigner of Quitman; sister, Paula Mushinski and husband Frank of Bastrop; brother, Donald Spigner and wife Bonnie of Bastrop; nieces, Tally Hughes and Brad of Bastrop, Staci Mann and husband Randee of Bastrop, Kayla Farrar and husband Thomas of Bastrop; and nephews, Darby Spigner and wife Dana of Bastrop, Brian Hubbard of Bastrop and Cody Spigner and wife Lindzay of Bastrop.
