Funeral services for William Newton "Pat" Crawford, 89, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2009 at Extra Methodist Church near Hamburg, Ark. with the Rev. Jeff May officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, Columbus, Miss.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time at the church on Friday, February 13, 2009.

Mr. Crawford was born in Hamburg, Ark. on August 21, 1919 to the late Tom and Lillie Victoria Farmer Allen. He was a member of White Avenue Baptist Church in Bastrop, where he had been a Sunday school superintendent, a Sunday school teacher and a deacon. He was a retired meat cutter, an avid fisherman and gardener.

Mr. Crawford died February 9, 2009 at Cherub's Personal Care Home in Steens, Miss.

In addition to his parents, his wife Glennis Day Crawford preceded him in death.

Mr. Crawford is survived by his daughter, Jane Lee, and her husband, Delmer Ray, of Columbus, Miss.; and two grandchildren, Ryan Lee and his wife Leah of Columbus, Miss., and Patrick Lee and his wife Michelle of Columbus, Miss.

Acting as pallbearers are Charles Farmer, Frank Lee, Johnny Lee, Raymond Lee, Ryan Lee andPatrick LeeHonorary Pallbearers are Doyle Robertson, George Joiner, J.M. Walker and J.W. Martin.
