Bert cherished time spent vacationing with family and friends. He had the greatest laugh and the kindest heart and was loved by all. He always made sure everyone felt at home and that gatherings with family and friends were memorable.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to a favorite charity. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 14, 2021 at St. Raphael the Archangel Church, 2141 Lancashire Ave, Louisville, KY 40205. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison Ave (at Barret), Louisville, KY 40204.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS: As of December 13, 2020, until further notice, Public visitation is again back in place with the following restrictions. It is highly suggested that you do not attend any public visitation and instead sign the online guest register book that accompanies the online obituary at www.bossefh.com . If you must visit in person, you must wear a mask at all times, submit to a temperature scan at the check in and only come in to sign the guest register, quickly give condolences to the family and leave. The goal is to be in the building and exposed no more than 15 minutes from entering. There is a strict limit of 60 people in the building at any given time and this will be strictly enforced. Funerals conducted in the building will be limited to 30 persons, as that is all that seating at 6 feet distance will permit. It is not recommended that you send any type of flowers or memorial gifts that would be taken home, to help quell the spread of the virus.
