Macon-Anita D. Matthews, 91, died October 7, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, October 10, 2008 at Hart's at the Cupola Chapel, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, GA with the Dr. John Gibson officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens in Rome, GA with Dr. Del Levan officiating at 4:00PM on Friday, October 10, 2008.

The family will greet friends on Thursday, October 9, 2008 from 5:00-7:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon, GA 31210.

Mrs. Matthews was the wife of the late William Fred Matthews, Sr. and the daughter of the late William Edgar Davis and the late Lona Mae Stephens of Rome, GA. She was a member of both the Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church and the TEL Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Matthews is survived by her son, Fred Matthews and daughter-in-law, Jane of Centerville, GA and her daughter, Ann Matthews of Macon; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters; and three brothers.

Hart's at the Cupola has charge of arrangements.
