Becky Kennedy, age 65 of Newcastle, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020. Becky Jo Klamm was born February 18, 1955 in Kansas City, KS, the older of two children born to Donald and Betty Klamm. She was raised in Louisburg, Kansas and attended school there, graduating with Wildcat Class of 1973. While still in school, at a summer job, Becky met a young serviceman named Steve Kennedy. They became really close, but like so many others, they moved in different directions on life’s highway. Becky worked for many years for the Department of Defense, later retiring from the Federal Aviation Administration. While working for the FAA, Becky moved to Oklahoma, and it was here she found that young service man again, and this time, the two became inseparable. Steve and Becky made it official and were married on April 13, 1995, on the family farm in Louisburg. They made their home in Newcastle to live out their retirement years. They bought a boat, and spent countless hours at their place in Catfish Bay, on Lake Texoma, living and loving the boating and fishing life. Becky was crazy about animals, and especially her fur babies, Ziva and Tony. And while Becky finally succumbed to cancer, she fought hard, and remained a beacon of hope for those around her. She was a wonderful wife and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by:
Her parents, Donald and Betty Klamm.
Becky is survived by:
Her husband, Steve Kennedy of the home;
Her brother, Don A. Klamm and
A host of other family and friends.
A Memorial Celebration will be scheduled for a future date, when we can share a hug, share a laugh and remember Becky for who she was. Send online condolences @ www.wilsonlittle.com.
