Carolyn was born in Wayne County on September 24, 1948 to the late Richard Allen Anderson and Betty Ruth Thomas Anderson.  She had been an employee of Electrolux in Kinston.  Those of us who knew Carolyn weep at our loss, laugh with our remembrances, and reflect deeply on how much she meant to us.

In loving memory of a dear sister.
My dearest darling sister
How can I find the words
To tell of how I miss you
Throughout every single day?
I miss our little chats.
The way you'd listen to me moan
And how you'd always cheer me up
Whenever you would phone.
Living life without you
Is so very hard to bear.
And I'd give all I have to waken
And see you standing there.

There will always be a piece of my heart missing. We could put a cell phone to sleep chatting for hours and it just won't be the same without you here. Until we meet again my beautiful sister. I Love you.

Cousins are usually the first friends we have as children. They are the best of both worlds, because they are friends and family at the same time. Even if you are not close anymore, no one will ever understand you or your family the way a cousin does. Carolyn, I am so happy you were part of my life and memories, and that I can call you "Cousin"!

God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "come to me."

You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best

And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.

I worked with Carolyn in a dental lab for Steve Stroud in LaGrange when we were in our 20's. Joey was a young boy then. It's been about 8 years since I saw her, but I would call her and we would talk on the phone when life wouldn't allow for more. She was a very sweet, sincere woman. The last time and times before I went by her house to see her she had birds (I think parakeets), that she loved dearly. Though I haven't talked to you in forever & didn't know you were sick; I just saw where you liked a couple of things I shared on my fb page as late as December 27, 2016. I'll never forget our friendship and you. Love you, Carolyn. RIP
