Carolyn Rogers Obituary
Carolyn Saylor Rogers, 70, of Wallins passed away Monday, August 14, 2017, at the Tennova North Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Born July 10, 1947 in Harlan County, she was a homemaker and a member of the Layman Church in Coldiron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Saylor and Lillian Howard Saylor; one brother, Michael Joseph Saylor; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Jimmie Ray Rogers, Wallins; four children, Jimmy Rogers and wife, Anna, Indiana; Kim Lockhart and husband, Rob, Georgetown; John Rogers and wife, Carol, Tennessee; and Tonya Rogers, Wallins; one brother, Albert Bruce Saylor and wife, Virginia, Layman; and one sister, Jessie Saylor and husband, J.C., Molus. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday, August 17, 2017, in the chapel of Loyall Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 12 noon with the Reverend Freeman Clark officiating.
Burial will follow in the Layman Cemetery at Coldiron with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
